How do you easily access the relevant part of an instructional video? Videotrace enables locating instructional videos in physical space using augmented reality. Users can access specific times in a video using the spatial timeline interface.

The design idea is based on a two cases that involves skill sharing related to operating physical machines. In both cases the performers in the videos use a diverse set of materials with different spatial references. Videtrace makes it possible to directly link to the relevant part of the video for the user, using spatial memory.
