A door from plywood

The door has been designed to experiment with plywood in a spatial element, door. As room dividers, doors mostly function as planar surfaces. The attempt in this project, however, was to change the perception of room division by carrying the glass element to a perpendicular axis, enabling the light from one side appear on the door surface.

The design has been implemented in a 1:4 scale by using cnc-machined wood dies to form the beech laminate.
